Electronic communication
An increasing number of shareholders now receive all of their Barclays communications electronically and are discovering the convenience of using the internet and e-mail to find out about their shareholdings and Barclays.

Barclays e-view
Barclays e-view is an easy and convenient online service to:
  • access your Barclays shareholding details and view any sales, purchases or transfers;
  • view dividend information including electronic tax vouchers;
  • change your address and/or bank details online;
  • receive your shareholder documents (e.g. Annual Review) electronically;
  • send your voting instructions for the AGM.
How to apply:
It's easy. You can apply online using your Shareholder Reference Number which is on your Proxy Form or dividend notification.
  1. Go to www.eviewsignup.co.uk
  2. Register for electronic communications by following the on-screen instructions.
  3. You will be sent an access number in the post the next day.
If you do not have a computer you can find out about your shareholding by contacting the Registrar on 0870 609 4535.

Barclays Sharestore
Barclays Sharestore is a convenient way to hold your Barclays shares electronically, without a certificate. Each year you will be sent a statement of your shareholding.

The benefits are:
  • you don't need to worry about losing your share certificates anymore. Replacing lost share certificates can be costly;
  • each year we will send you a statement showing how many shares you own;
  • there are lower selling costs, faster settlement and less unwanted mail but you still get all the benefits of being a shareholder.
How to apply:
Contact the Registrar on 0870 609 4535 and they will send you a Sharestore Application Form. Transferring into Sharestore is free.

Buying more Barclays shares with your dividend – the Barclays Dividend Reinvestment Plan
A straightforward and cost effective way of using your dividends to build your shareholding in Barclays. Contact the Registrar on 0870 609 4535 for details or download the application form from the internet at

Investing in an Individual Savings Account (ISA)
Investments held in an ISA are free from UK income tax and capital gains tax on any profits when you sell your shares. The Barclays PLC Corporate Maxi ISA offered by Barclays Stockbrokers allows you to invest in a range of qualifying Shares, Gilts, Bonds, Unit Trusts and Cash. The value of stocks and shares and the income from them can fall as well as rise and you may not get back the full amount you originally invested. If you are unsure about dealing in shares and other equity investments you should contact your financial adviser.
